THE BRAND PORTFOLIO OF PHARMACEUTICAL ENTERPRISES LOCATED IN THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION

Introduction. Import substitution processes are economically and technologically important and they are also important as a way of solving social problems. Given the tasks set out, the pharmaceutical enterprises located in the Russian Federation are actively engaged in manufacturing the drugs similar to imported ones. Objective: to analyze the assortment policy of localized pharmaceutical enterprises due to active import substitution processes. Material and methods. The objects of the study were legislative and sectoral normative-legal bases of the Russian Federation for the circulation of medicines. The investigators used the following methods of analysis: economic-statistical, situational, graphical, and content analysis. Results. The number of foreign companies that had localized their manufacturing of medicines in the Russian Federation and the number of their registered drugs at new sites were determined. The range of produced drugs and the groups of preparations, which occupy the largest share in the retail segment of the pharmaceutical market, were identified. Conclusion. The data obtained from the analysis of the structure of sales of individual drug groups may be used to create the assortment policy of both the localized enterprises and Russian pharmaceutical manufacturers.
