DDD ANALYSIS OF THE USE OF ESSENTIAL ACE INHIBITORS AND THEIR COMBINATIONS

Hypertension is one of the diseases that have a substantial negative impact on population health. Angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors (ACEIs) are most important in the total structure of antihypertensive drugs. The use of ACEIs was rising steadily in the Voronezh Region in the examined period. DDD analysis was used to study the trend in the consumption of drugs from this group (monodrugs and their combinations with other agents), which are in the List of Essential Medicines. The total structure was found to display a predominance of monodrugs, among which enalapril was commonly used. In addition, the prices of these drugs were on the rise, the rate of which outstripped that in the group of essential medicines as a whole.
