The investigation of the dissolution of plasma chemical powders of magnetic (Fe-metallic and Fe-C-composite) vehicles could refer them to as substances that were virtually insoluble in water. When dissolving the powders in mineral acids, there were insoluble remains that were susceptible to a magnetic field. The mass fraction of the insoluble remains was not greater than 1.43%. Examination of the insoluble remains by roentgenophase analysis and M ssbauer and roentgenoluminescence spectroscopies has provided evidence that there were -iron and iron oxide forms, and a high proportion of amorphous phases in these objects. Other heavy metals (except iron) were not virtually found in the insoluble remains.
